Nobody likes a turn-off literally when you are looking to get some action. But here's something that could be affecting you or your partner's mood- your bedroom colour. Yes, it may sound bizarre to you but there has been a study which states that your bedroom colour does play a role in boosting your sex-life! So you might want to do up your bedroom quickly?

A study done by Travelodge studied 2000 couples with regards to the correlation between the colour and their sex life. It was found that those with caramel-coloured walls got the most action in bed. Well, chocolate has some sensuousness to it after all right? But if you thought, red induces the romance, it was the opposite. Those who had reds were not really that romantic to head for a great sex in bed later. If you are thinking of giving a change to your bedroom, here are some colours which you should opt for:

Caramel brown:

The study pointed out that people who had chocolate coloured or caramel, brownish walls had sex, as good as three times a week. An explanation given to this finding was caramel gives us the first thought of a chocolate. For long chocolate has been considered as an aphrodisiac. So drawing a conclusion is easier how the caramel colour stimulates certain people to get more action in bed.

Purple: If you are not a fan of chocolate (which is rare by the way) you may opt for pastel shades of purple. You can even go for lavender tones also. The colour denotes compassion as well a soothing relaxation feeling. Another survey conducted among the youth revealed the purple bedrooms are a turn on for many. Plus it does look good for a bedroom setting so why not!

Blue: The colour blue has been a healer of sorts. Not exactly for great sex, but shades of blue in your bedroom can advocate for great sleep. The colour is associated with sky, water and has a calmness to it. So once you have a great sleep, you can sure get experimental in bed, right?

Red for long propagates sensuality and romance but it need not necessarily get you all the romance without clothes. The colour can seem jarring at times and put you off. But this can depend from person to person, for someone who loves the passionate reds, can have a great stimulation in a red bedroom walls. Although it is advised to opt for lighter shades and hues of pink.

Black bedrooms are not something you see commonly but ask most people and they find black sexy! If you cannot opt for black walls, you can ensure the furniture in the room is black or opt for a colour scheme which has some black to compliment. There is certain seduction cum sophistication to the colour.

These are some of the colours which are said to have an effect on your sex life and sleep schedule. But it could totally differ from person to person. In fact, the kind of bedding used could also play a part. The study conducted on 2000 youth in 2012, found that silk beddings were hugely preferred for greater sex. For long we have seen the top hotels using more of whites. The white beddings also have some sophistication to it which can turn on certain people.
