Indian origin beauty queen, Shree Saini faced her nightmare when she collapsed on stage right before the finale of Miss America 2019. Saini had fallen off the stairs and sustained serious injuries, post which she was immediately rushed to the hospital. It was her childhood dream to enter the Miss World tournament and she was barely a few hours away from realising it. A report in Tribune India read that Saini was a heart patient with a pacemaker fit in at the age of 12. And her stay at the hospital would be extended to keep a watch on her cardiac arrest. Saini's mother, Ekta took to her Instagram account to give an update on her daughter's health. “We have been in hospital since 9 pm. They are doing a cat scan, EKG, etc.  Doctors just told me that less than 1% of people at age 12 have a Pacemaker.  So Shree will stay in the hospital for a “cardiac arrest watch”. Shree in her earlier interaction with Tribune had said, "I am fortunate to be selected as Miss World Washington to compete for Miss World America title, preliminary to the Miss World competition. I made to Top 5 Talent for Miss World America. When I was five, I told my preschool class teacher Mamta Dasaur in Ludhiana that I wanted to be Miss World and today with great humility I am looking to serve as Miss World America.” The winner of that tournament would get a chance to represent the US at Miss World 2019 competition that will take place on December 2019.
