One of the most coveted beauty pageants, Miss World 2018, is in the offing. The 68th edition of the Miss World pageant is slated to take place on December 8, 2018 in Sanya, China and will be broadcasted Live on Various TV channels across the world and on Miss World Official YouTube channel. Last year, India won the glorious crown as Manushi Chhillar won the Miss World 2017 title. This year, Manushi will crown her successor at the end of the competition. The contestants from 32 countries arrived in Sanya on November 9 for a month-long pre-pageant activities and other challenges. The top 30 contestants have been announced and from India, the representative is Anukreethy Vas who has successfully made it to the list and has entered the next level. At a press conference, Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar announced, “I’m so happy to come back to Sanya. This is a magical place for me. I was crowned in Sanya by Stephanie and I will be crowning my successor here on December 8th.” Winning the Head to Head Challenge from Group 12, Anukeerthy Vas made it to the Top 30 of the prestigious Miss World 2018 pageant. Anukeerthy Vas is from Tamil Nadu, India who crowned as Femina Miss India 2018. You can watch the competition live on Romedy Now at 4:30 pm in India on December 8. Winning Miss World 2017, Manushi Chhillar brought back the crown to the country after 17 long years. The newly-wed Priyanka Chopra had won the Miss World title in the year 2000.
