Laurie Pressman of Pantone was quoted to the press, "We're looking toward those colors that bring nourishment and the comfort and familiarity that make us feel good. It's not too heavy. We want to play. We want to be uplifted." Today as much as people are driven towards technology, they are also craving a human interaction and social connection. So Coral is said to "welcome" and "encourage" them for developing connections and intimacy. "In its glorious, yet unfortunately more elusive, display beneath the sea, this vivifying and effervescent color mesmerizes the eye and mind," Pantone said in the news release.
