YouTuber Jaclyn Hill’s Line of ‘Rotten’ Lipsticks Contains Fungus and Hair! Fans Enraged
Jaclyn claims to have worked five years on the formulation of lipsticks, which were found to contain hair and fungus.
On May 23rd, American beauty guru and YouTuber, Jaclyn Hill uploaded a video announcing her much-awaited cosmetics line, Jaclyn Cosmetics finally coming to life. Jaclyn was set to make a debut as a makeup brand owner on May 30th. Her first launch was 20 nude lipsticks, a perfect nude for every skin tone. She was excited as she talked about and swatched the lipsticks for her viewers in her announcement video. Jaclyn claims to have worked 5 years on the formulation of lipsticks.
Jaclyn Hill had been teasing the release of her own line for a few years now. Just when her fans were giving up all hopes about their idol's brand, she made an announcement about Jaclyn Cosmetics. She launched 20 lipsticks, each costing USD 18. Her viewers seemed pretty excited and her lipsticks were sold out soon after they were released. However, it didn't take time for opinions to change. It all started going down the drain for Jaclyn when a fan posted a picture of her lipstick looking lumpy.

The tweet that kicked it all off:
Jaclyn was quick to defend her brand and the twitter user met with a lot of hate. Soon after, more people started coming up with the same issue. People started finding lumps and strange, tiny balls in their lipsticks. It did not end there. People soon found fibres and hair in their lipsticks.
Thatgirlshae on Youtube made a video swatching all 20 shades and noticed the lumps and hair after a few strokes. RawbeautyKristi used her microscope to dig deep into this matter. She found tiny, black dots on her lipstick which turned out to be mould growing in the product.
A Youtuber called Richlux, posted a video of him pulling out a long strand of hair from his lipstick.
Several other YouTubers have also come forward criticising the brand. Marlena Stell, the owner of MakeupGeek, replied to people on Twitter exposing Jaclyn of lying to her audience and taking advantage of them. Cosmetic developer, Kevin James Bennet, also weighed in on this situation and called Jaclyn a liar.
Here are some tweets by the customers:
People are assuming these are the old and rotten lipsticks Jaclyn Cosmetics created years ago when Jaclyn first teased her own makeup brand. Jaclyn has offered refunds and replacements but as of now, Jaclyn has not released any official statement over the poor quality of her lipsticks that people are receiving.
