A 36-year-old man from Uttar Pradesh who took Viagra for strong erection ends up fracturing his penis after his child jumped on his erection to wake him up in the morning. The bizarre accident has been published in British Medical Journal which said, the man expected its effects to have worn off after sex but resorted to ‘vigorous masturbation’ when it failed to do so. The following morning the Viagra continued to work, and his child mistakenly fell over his erect penis, according to King George’s Medical University.

The journal goes on to explain that the man developed ‘sudden severe pain in his penis and lost tumescence’ – the build-up of blood. After two days in agonising pain, he reported himself to doctors who confirmed a tear in his corpora cavernosa – the tissue that stores blood during an erection. His penis was said to be deformed and swollen from the injury. Surgeons repaired the injury and the man was finally able to get erections six weeks after the incident. Female Viagra Returns: Here’s Everything You Need to Know About Addyi, The Drug For Increased Sexual Appetite

Despite being left with no permanent damage, the man was concerned about the ‘eggplant shape’ his penis had taken since the treatment. Penile fractures occur when the appendage is subject to a blunt trauma, normally during vigorous intercourse or masturbation. The journal reports a tear of this kind usually comes with a loud cracking sound and that 1,600 cases have been recorded worldwide since 1924.

Those who have already been traumatised by breaking their penis are often left with erectile dysfunction problems and a lifetime of painful sex. According to a sex expert Tracey Cox, the trick to stopping penile injuries is to thrust quite shallowly. She told MailOnline: “Holding your partner close to you using a grinding rather than thrusting motion will also reduce the risk.”
