A total solar eclipse or Surya Grahan will be visible in the skies on July 2, 2019. It will last for around four minutes and 33 seconds. The solar eclipse will start from off the coast of New Zealand with Chile and Argentina directly in the path of totality. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to observe the solar eclipse in India since most of it will be happening over the Pacific, with the partial eclipse starting at 12:55 pm EDT, which is 10:25 PM IST. Foods That Should Be Avoided During Solar Eclipse 2019
Non-Vegetarian Foods: One should refrain from eating foods that are high in protein. Non-veg foods like chicken and mutton are also not recommended during this time.
Fermented Foods: Fermented foods like pickle, idli, bread, yoghurt or dhoklas should be avoided during the surya grahan. These foods are heavy on the digestive system and hence should not be consumed.
High-Calorie Foods: Foods that are high in calories should be avoided since it will stress out the body. It is ideally suggested that you meditate during this time as it has a positive effect on one's emotional well being, and low-calorie food goes well along with meditation.
Water: One should also avoid drinking water during the solar eclipse. The absence of sun rays might aggravate the bacterial function in water. However, just before the time of the eclipse, you can drink tender coconut water, which will enrich your body with essential nutrients and electrolytes.

The solar eclipse 2019 will be visible from small parts of Chile and Argentina just before sunset.
