We cannot stress enough on how simple the cleaning system of our vagina is and something that is not an infection, disease or hygiene can affect the vagina, not even weather. You vaginas don't even need a scented, chemical agent, or douches to be cleaned and freshened up. They have a self-cleaning system and normal soap and water can do the job. While we were almost done with all kinds of misinformation doing the rounds, we have a yet another misinformation that has just gained momentum- the 'winter vagina.' Move Over the ‘Summer Penis’, With the Weather Getting Chillier Here Comes the ‘Winter Penis.’
Recently a reputed online media publication did an article that spoke about the 'summer vagina' and then another big media publication spoke about the winter vagina which really didn't mean a thing. Experts are of the opinion that the weather does not have any effect on the functioning of the vagina. They explained that the winter condition may cause the vagina to get into the 'drought mode' which basically means that you could possibly be suffering from a dry vagina during winters. While vaginal dryness is a thing, it is not normally caused due to the winter weather. According to WebMD, 'The walls of the vagina stay lubricated with a thin layer of clear fluid. The hormone estrogen helps maintain that fluid and keeps the lining of your vagina healthy, thick, and elastic. A drop in estrogen levels reduces the amount of moisture available.' Vaginal dryness is known to have a negative effect on sexual pleasure.
Various controversial treatments related to vagina like the 'jade vaginal eggs', 'vaginal steaming', putting 'ozone gas in your vagina', have been floating around on the internet, it is best advised to leave the vagina to do its own thing and do not disrupt the pH level of your vagina by using foreign objects to 'cleanse' the vagina.
