Jason Statham was born in Derbyshire, England. As a young boy, Statham used to practice kung fu, kickboxing and karate for recreational purpose while working at local market stalls. He is an avid diver and was even selected in Britain's national diving team to compete in the 1990 Commonwealth Games. Statham's exercise routine includes regular weight training and callisthenics.

Jason Statham workout consecutively for five days, he does an outdoor sports activity on the sixth day and gives his body rest on the seventh day. His exercise routine includes training for strength, conditioning and agility. He allocates each day of his workout to a different segment. Statham's warm-up includes rowing machine exercise, bodyweight squat hold, L-Sit on Parallettes or dips bars to name a few.
Jason Statham starts his week with deadlift training where he works on progression to one-rep max (ORM). This includes 10 sets of the deadlift exercise where he does one rep in the first set, two reps in second and increases the number by one till the fifth set. After the fifth set, he starts to decrease the number of reps like four reps in the sixth set, three in seventh and so on. In this process, the weights of deadlift increase with the rep.
Statham's second day of training includes functional circuit exercises which include multiple sets of front squat and power cleans. His third day of training includes interval training where there are six intervals of a 500-metre sprint. Jason's fourth and fifth day of exercises includes training of multiple muscle group like bench press, rope climbs, ball slams, pull-ups, dips and other isolation movements.

Jason Statham's diet philosophy is to eat 95 percent healthy foods and cheat only a little bit, like eating chocolate only on a few occasions. He believes that the key to getting a quick lean body is to cut out all the sugars and heavy starch in the afternoon. For breakfast, the Fast & Furious star eats fresh fruits and oats. At lunch, Jason likes to have steamed vegetable with brown rice. Jason eats his last meal at 7 pm which includes protein-rich food like fish or lean beef or chicken along with a salad. Statham ensures that he keeps eating protein snacks like nuts or peanut butter between meals and drink at least three litres of water in a day.
