This lead to slow metabolism and less calorie getting burnt. Gur also detoxes liver which helps to remove all unwanted toxins from the body.

Jaggery is also rich in potassium, which helps in the reduction of water retention and management of body weight. However, it must be noted that jaggery should be consumed in moderation as it contains upto 4 kcal/gram. For a normal person,2 tsp of jaggery is sufficient on a daily basis.
