Precautions To Prevent Hairfall
For women with hair problems, it is recommended to make minimal use of hair dryers, hair colours and other such products. In case of any medical condition, it is always advised to seek doctor’s opinion in order to control the hair fall. One should always hold on to natural colours and texture of hair and choose products wisely that doesn't damage the hair strands. Dandruff, when associated with itching, can cause hair fall; therefore, it is recommended to consult a dermatologist who would suggest medicated shampoos and products in order to reduce the hair fall due to dandruff. Make sure the hair scalp is clean. With proper diet, routine exercises and a regular hair wash, one can reduce the amount of hair fall. Washing the hair with shampoo for 2 to 3 times a week is recommended but do not comb the hair when wet, it causes breakage. Also, tying the hair too tight can cause hair fall.
Healthy Diet for Healthy hair
What you consume is as important as what you apply on hair, diet plays a key factor for hair loss in women. A protein that forms tissue cells of one’s hair is composed of a protein called keratin making hair strong and healthy. The deficiency of keratin makes hair brittle leading to hair fall. Eatables and supplements rich in zinc, iron, vitamin A, B complex, vitamin C, vitamin E, omega 3 fatty acids and proteins should be consumed as its restores hair growth or curbs the regular hair fall. Hair fall is directly correlated to vitamin/mineral deficiency which in turn shows symptoms of anaemia, hyperthyroidism, excessive stress, weight loss and impacts both on hair structure and hair growth. Women with hair fall should avoid excessive fat foods, fizzy drinks, processed foods as it improves the chances of hair follicle stimulation.
Remember, your hair health depends highly on your diet and the way you maintain it. It is also essential to minimise the use of hair styling products on your hair to keep it healthy.
