Georgian lawmakers passed one of the strictest abortion ban laws in the country recently and people are definitely not happy. The law restricts abortion of foetus after 6 weeks into a pregnancy, when the child's heartbeat is detected. This fetal heartbeat law is thus facing a lot of controversies and actress Evan Rachel Wood was also among those to express outrage. She interacted with most of the users who left their opinion on her tweet. When one of the user's mentioned that vasectomy would not prevent STDs and advised to wear condoms, Wood wrote, "I am a woman. I dont need a condom. Dudes do. Dont tell ME to wear a condom. Men need to be held just as responsible or we are just going to keep punishing and torturing women." Wood's suggestion got support from most other people and men commented that men should also seek approval of the same from their partner.

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp signed the Living Infants Fairness and Equality (LIFE) Act, also known as the “Fetal Heartbeat” bill, on May 7. This law will come into effect frm January 2020, banning women from undergoing an abortion once the heartbeat is detected. But most women are not aware of their pregnancies until after the narrow gap of a few weeks. A vasectomy prevents a man's sperm from reaching the semen ejaculation from their penis. It is one of the most preventive measures for birth control.
