Mumbai, April 30: AstraZeneca recently admitted for the first time in court documents that its COVID-19 vaccine, sold globally under the brand names Covishield and Vaxzevria, among others, may lead to a rare side-effect. As per the documents submitted by AstraZeneca in the UK High Court, Covishield can cause, in rare cases, a condition that leads to blood clots and low platelet count. Steps To Check Your COVID-19 Details on COWIN App

  • Visit the official website of CoWin (cowin.gov.in).
  • Click on the Sign In/Register button.
  • Sign in using your registered mobile number and then enter the one-time password or OTP received on that number.
  • Once you log in, there will be a Certificate tab under your name.
  • Click the download button to get a soft copy of your vaccination certificate.
  • Check for the Vaccine Name on the vaccination certificate.

How to Check Your COVID-19 Details on Aarogya Setu App?

  • Open the Aarogya Setu app.
  • Sign In using your mobile number and click on the CoWin tab at the top.
  • Enter your 13-digit beneficiary reference ID after clicking on the Vaccination Certificate option.
  • Click on the download button to get your vaccination certificate.
  • Check for the Vaccine Name on the vaccination certificate.

Covishield was produced by the Serum Institute of India and widely administered in the country. AstraZeneca is facing a class action lawsuit in the UK over claims that its vaccine caused deaths and severe injuries in several cases.

Researchers discovered a connection between the vaccine and VITT. The claimants' attorneys contend that VITT is a subset of TTS despite the fact that AstraZeneca does not seem to be aware of this distinction.
