Studies have proven pear-shaped body is healthier than apple and apple shaped body is the most unhealthy. There are certain risks and benefits of every body type. Pear-Shaped Body

Pear-shaped bodies carry more weight on the thighs and hips and have a faster metabolism than apple-shaped bodies. When they do gain weight, first it goes to their thighs and buttocks and then the rest of the body. Their top is usually light.

Weight on the bottom is safer as the fat deposited in the hips is likely to travel across the body.  Due to the heavy lower body, there's a risk of increasing the oestrogen level and 0estrogen- dominant diseases such as breast cancer. Women with pear-shaped bodied should get mammograms and pap smears regularly. 

Apple-Shaped Body

Apple shaped bodies are generally heavier on top. Researchers have linked this body type to eating disorders and binge-eating. However, it is easier for apple shaped bodies to lose weight than pear-shaped. Losing weight from hips and thighs is more difficult than losing weight from the upper body. But cardiovascular problems are common with people with apple bodies. This is due to the fat stored in the upper portion of the body. These people are also prone to diabetes and elevated blood pressure issues.

Banana-Shaped Body

Women with Rectangular or Banana shaped bodies have a fast metabolism and don't gain weight easily. Celebrities like Ariana Grande and Cameron Diaz have a banana body. They're relatively healthy till they're menstruating but they start gaining weight and fat all around once they hit menopause. This also invites a lot of health problems. It is recommended to maintain a healthy lifestyle to avoid problems after menopause.

Hour-Glass Body

Women with hourglass bodies have lower health problems. They're least likely to get depressed, get heart diseases, stroke, type 2 diabetes, gallbladder and kidney disease, certain cancers. But all this can get triggered after menopause and women can gain weight around their hips and upper bodies. These can lead to troubles apple-shaped bodies face.

Pear is considered the healthiest due to its ability to store fat in harmless areas.
