The Indian government has started the #HumFitTohIndiaFit challenge to promote fitness and well-being in the country. Minister of Sports Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore has helmed the challenge who himself is a fitness enthusiast. It all started with the union minister tagging cricketer Virat Kohli, Hrithik Roshan and Saina Nehwal to perform a fitness challenge. He performed a set of push-ups to flag off the challenge.

Kohli graciously accepted it and posted a video of him performing butt planks on Twitter. In keeping with the rules of the game, Virat then tagged three people: his wife Anushka Sharma, PM Narendra Modi and Mahendra Singh Dhoni in his post and challenged them to take it forward.

While Mahendra Singh Dhoni is yet to react, PM Modi and Anushka Sharma have already accepted the challenge. Anushka posted a video of herself, lifting a barbell, which according to her is her favourite workout. She has tagged her friends Dipika Pallikal and Varun Dhawan.

Prime Minister Modi, who is a yoga enthusiast, has promised to get back with a video later in the day.

Apart from Anushka and Virat, others like Hrithik Roshan, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, Deepika Padukone, Saumya Tandon, PT Usha and Amitabh Bachchan have posted their respective videos on Twitter.  They have also lauded the government's efforts to encourage fitness among the citzens.
