Yewale Amruttulya, one of the famous tea franchises in the state is found to be adulterated! The Food and Drug Administration revealed the addition of food colour in the tea which gives it a red colour. The tea brand which began first in Pune has expanded into various regions and one of the most famous franchises. The FDA presented a report which proved about mixing of additional colour in the tea to give it a reddish colour. The FDA had collected some samples of their tea from their outlet. While the first sample was found to be okay, the second test found the addition of synthetic colour in their tea. However, this is not the first time the Food and Drug Administration has ordered the shutting down and sale of the tea all over the state. Earlier, their outlet in Kondwa region of Pune was raided by the FDA. They found some errors between the production and sale of the tea quantity here. The outlet has also been charged with fraud advertising and fooling consumers by the Advertising Council of India. According to the advertising, Yewale Amruttulya uses mineral water to make their tea which was also proved false in the FDA report. Yewale Amruttulya began in Pune and once it became popular it expanded into other regions including Mumbai, Thane and Nashik. Each of their outlets has seen major crowds at all times and it has been a favourite spot among most tea lovers. Now with an adulteration report, the outlets are ordered to be closed.
