The festival of Ganeshtosav began on September 19 and will continue until September 28. Devotees of Lord Ganesha will bring in their favourite lord home and venerate and worship him for a specific number of days. During these celebrations, people offer a sumptuous bhog (food offering) to Lord Ganesha as a symbol of their devotion and gratitude. This bhog typically includes a variety of delectable dishes such as modak (sweet dumplings), laddoos, coconut-based sweets, fruits, and savoury snacks. This presentation reflects the deep reverence and love that devotees have for the elephant-headed deity. Ahead of the festivities, we bring you recipes for the popular bhog dishes.
