Navratri 4th day is dedicated to Maa Kushmanda who is also the 4th form of the Nav Durga. The nine-night Maa Durga festival started on September 29 and will last till October 7. Navratri, also known as Durga Utsav and Durga Puja in many parts of India, brings people together and is celebrated as a community festival. Each day of the festival is dedicated to one Goddess Durga incarnation namely, Goddess Shailputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmandal, Skandmata, Katyayani, Kalratri, Mahagauri and Siddhatri. One of the most exciting parts of the celebration is to follow the Navratri colour chart that dedicates one colour to each of the nine days of the festival. However, we are trying to go a little off-beat this year and have decided to celebrate each of the colours by recipes. For example, we made Gajar ka Halwa for day one that represented the orange colour.  Most people follow the colour chart by wearing a dedicated colour each day. Navratri 2019 Day 3 Red Colour Recipe: Here's How to Easily Make the Famous Bombay-Karachi Halwa at Home (Watch DIY Tutorial).
