Beer and ice cream are ideal summer treats that would throw all your summer woes in a jiffy. But how awesome would it be if we could have both together? Leyte-based businesswoman makes and sells this dream-come-true beer-flavoured ice cream. Most Filipinos are on the lookout for any dessert that could beat the summer heat, so naturally, many were thrilled to discover this.

Made and sold from home by Ann Orecul and Lei Ladem, the dessert is called ‘Sim’s Red Horse Ice Cream’. They don’t make the ice cream for any random beer. The two make the frozen snack using Red Horse, a local high-alcohol beer with a distinctive sweet flavour. The entrepreneurs sell them in tubs, with the smallest one weighing 390 ml priced at approximately three dollars. They also sell liquor-infused popsicles for a dollar. The pops use the same ingredients of the booze they are named after – Screwdriver, Watermelon Margarita, Tequila Sunrise and Mojito.

Photos od the sinful dessert started going viral over the weekend when its seller uploaded a photo of it on social media. The post has now been shared more than 33,000 times. Netizens think the concept is revolutionary, specifically the Red Horse ice cream. The duo also sell non-tipsy ice creams in unique combinations like avacado with mango, purple jackfruit (ube langka) and matcha cookies and cream. But who wants to go the regular route when you can have booze-filled ice cream.
