New Delhi, October 24: On the occasion of Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti, the Delhi Traffic Police on Wednesday issued an advisory and urged commuters to avoid routes that will be congested during the Shobha Yatra during the day. In its tweet, the Delhi Traffic Police informed that on this auspicious occasion, Various processions will be taken out in the national capital that may cause traffic snarls. The main procession will be taken out by the Maharishi Valmiki Janmotsav Committee, Valmiki Mandir, Angoori Gatta, Asaf Ali Road, Delhi to Red Fort to Valmiki Mandir on Mandir Marg- Panchkuian Road.

The main procession will be taken out on October 24 at 2 PM onwards from ground opposite Red Fort and will pass through various places in the national capital including Chandni Chowk, Town Hall to reach Valmiki Mandir. In the wake of these processions, disruption in movement of traffic on national and state highways is expected. For an uninterrupted journey, general commuters may use the Metro services.
