Two of the biggest Hindu festivals, Krishna Janmashtami and Ganesh Chaturthi is going to be celebrated in September 2018. In fact, devotees will revere Lord Balram, elder brother of Lord Krishna on the very first day of the month as Balaram Jayanti. Celebrated over ten days, Ganesh Chaturthi 2018 date is September 13. A day before, worshippers will observe Gowri Habba, a festival that celebrates the goddess Gowri or Gauri, who is venerated as the mother of Ganesha.
