Sehri, Iftar & Prayer Timings: Check Ramzan 2018 Daily Fast Timing Updates for June 8; When Will Eid Moon Be Sighted?

Ramzan, the holy month of Muslims have begun in which the community observes fasting for 30 days. This year, the month of Ramadan ul-Kareem began in May in the Indian subcontinent. The month is considered auspicious and Muslims fast from dusk to dawn. The meals taken before dawn and after dusk are called Sehri and Iftar respectively. Muslims observe the month with religious prayers and purity. They refrain from drinking alcohol, sexual activities and immoral speech for this 30 days. The Iftar and Sehri timings changes according to different cities. On June 8, Sehri ends at 4:52 am and Iftar begins at 7:15 pm in Mumbai. While in Delhi, Sehri ends at 4:07 am and Iftar begins at 7:18 pm. In Bhopal Sehri ends at 4:23 am and Iftar starts at 7:05 pm. Meanwhile, In Srinagar, Sehri ends at 3:55 am and Iftar starts at 7:41 pm. According to Islam, fasting is one of its five pillars. The other four pillars are faith, prayer, charity and making the pilgrimage to Makkah – the Holy City. As per beliefs, it was during this period that Allah revealed the first verses of Quran, the holy book of Islam to Prophet Muhammad. This year, Eid-ul Fitr is likely to be observed on June 16 or June 17 depending on moon-sightings.
