Rajiv Gandhi, the popular political figure in India was born on August 20, 1944, in Bombay, British India. He served as the seventh Prime Minister of India from 1984 to 1989 after the assassination of his mother, then prime minister Indira Gandhi. He was the youngest prime minister of the country. Rajiv Gandhi was a visionary leader who dreamt of making India a developed country.
