Ramzan 2018 Daily Fast Timing Updates: Check Sehri and Iftar Schedule For May 18
The timings shared here are in accordance with Sunni Hanafi school of thought.
The holy month of Ramadan ul-kareem, also referred to as Ramzan, begun in the Indian subcontinent region from May 17. While most parts of India observed the first roza or fast from Thursday, those regions where the crescent moon of 29th Sha'aban was not sighted were scheduled to begin the fastings from Friday. On May 18, the the sehri timing in Delhi would end at 03:59 am. Post this, Muslims who observe the fast would be duty-bound to abstain from food and water. The fast could only be relieved at dusk, which is called as iftar. In the national capital region, iftar timing would begin at 07:07 pm.
In Mumbai, the sehri would end on Friday morning at 4:43 am, whereas, the iftar would end at 07:07 pm.

Muslims are recommended by Islamic scholars to strictly to the timings of sehri and iftar during their fasts. Those believers who skip the pre-dawn meal have also been recommended not to, as it goes against the principles of Sunnah.
