New Delhi, October 7: The moon was sighted in most parts across India on Thursday. With the sighting of the moon today, Rabi Ul Awwal month to begin from tomorrow and the date of Eid Milad Un Nabi or Mawlid is determined. Eid Milad Un Nabi is observed on 12th Rabi Ul Awwal. Accordingly, Eid Milad Un Nabi 2021 will fall on October 19. In Pakistan also, the month of Rabi Ul Awwal is set to begin from tomorrow, that is, October 8. Eid Milad Un Nabi 2021 To Be Celebrated on October 18 After Rabi Ul Awwal Crescent Sighted in Saudi Arabia.

If the new moon is sighted on the 29th of the ongoing month, it marks the beginning of A new Islamic month. However, if the moon is not visible on the 29th of the then the ongoing month completes 30 days and the new month then begins the next day. Today marks the 29th of Safar, the second month in Islamic calendar, in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Since the moon has been sighted this evening, Rabi Ul Awwal in India, and Pakistan will begin from tomorrow, October 8.

In Saudi Arabia the Rabi Ul Awwal month, the third month of Islam, started today on October 7. The country will be celebrating Eid Milad Un Nabi or Mawlid on October 18, 2021. A large section of the Muslim community celebrates the birth of Prophet Mohammad, which is also called Eid Milad Un Nabi or Mawlid, on 12th day of Rabi Ul Awwal.
