While every day us national so and so day, however, amongst all such days, National Puppy Day is probably the best. This special day is dedicated to humans' best friend- puppies. It celebrates the unconditional love that puppies bring to our lives and make our lives happier. While a single day isn't enough to contain the love puppies bring into our lives but this one day dedicated to puppies can surely bring people together to work towards the betterment of puppies all across the world. More and more adoption of orphaned puppies, to educate the public about the horrors of puppy mills and other horrific crimes committed towards puppies is the primary motive of the day. National Puppy Day was founded in 2006 by Celebrity Pet & Home Lifestyle Expert and Author, Colleen Paige, who is also the founder of National Dog Day and National Cat Day (among many others).

National Puppy Day History

With an aim to focus more on the importance of puppies in our lives and mental health, National Puppy Day is held on March 23 every year. National Puppy Day was founded in 2006 by pet lifestyle expert, animal behaviourist and author Colleen Paige who is also the founder of National Dog Day and National Cat Day. Animal lover, Paige began these celebrations concerning pets to improve the way puppies are being treated and educated the people about the importance of these pets. Majorly celebrated in the United States of America, over time, this day has actually become an international celebration and has trended on social media. People have been celebrating worldwide via various events and campaigns.
