It was during the 125th birth anniversary celebrations of Srinivasa Ramanujan where PM Manmohan Singh said that the day would be celebrated as a mark of respect for the Indian maths genius.
Who Was Srinivasa Ramanujan?

Notable mathematician GH Hardy once said, "Ramanujan had produced groundbreaking new theorems, including some that had defeated him and his colleagues completely."
