National Energy Conservation Day is observed every year on December 12 to create awareness about the importance of saving energy. The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) founded the day in 2001 when the Energy Conservation Act of India was scripted. We may not realise, but many of our household appliances are covertly consuming high amounts of energy. To effect some savings, buy energy-efficient electric appliances that show energy ratings. These ratings tell us how much energy the appliance is likely to consume and how efficient it will be compared to other models in its same category.
Replace Desktops With Laptops
Desktops are huge, clunky and cumbersome. But that’s not all. They also use a lot of energy to function. A better option would be to use laptops, which consumes 80 percent less power. Global Warming and Climate Change Have Been Causing Depression, Anxiety and Suicidal Behaviour.

Simple changes such as hand-drying instead of using a drying, manually washing dishes instead of the dishwasher and sweeping the floor instead of using vacuum cleaner can help.
Conserving energy is a commitment towards the planet as a whole. Small changes can often make a significant difference.
