National Energy Conservation Day is observed every year on December 12 to create awareness about the importance of saving energy. The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) founded the day in 2001 when the Energy Conservation Act of India was scripted. Every year, we consume two percent more energy than the year before, according to a survey by the American Energy Information Administration and International Energy Agency.
