Bollywood has a stock of some of the amazing music tracks dedicated to Lord Ganesha. Ganpati songs have undoubtedly been one of the most popular themes. Our today's pick for song of the day is Don's Mourya Re that came out in 2006. The song by Shankar-Ehsan-Loy featured Shah Rukh Khan.
A major chunk of the nation is busy celebrating the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. The festival, that celebrates the birth of Lord Ganesha, is a favourite of Bollywood as well. Numerous songs in dozens of movies have been dedicated to or weaved around the festival, since the inception of Indian cinema. One of the fans' all-time favourite songs came out in 2006 when Shah Rukh Khan featured in the new-age remake of Don. His introductory number in the film was "Mourya Re", which had the actor dancing and prancing on the streets of Mumbai on the day of Ganpati visarjan. "Mourya Re" is bursting with energy. Shankar-Ehsan-Loy's composition is so beautiful that you'd definitely be fighting an urge to dance whenever you are listening to this song. Shankar Mahadevan has also lent his voice to the song and has done an incredible job. And the more we say about Shah Rukh Khan it is less. The actor brings his best dancing skills in the song. He might not be a terrific dancer like Hrithik Roshan or Tiger Shroff, but the energy and rhythm he brings to his dancing skills, coddled with his evergreen charm, make this number groovy.
