Every year on September 8 Mother Mary’s birthday is celebrated with great fervor and enthusiasm. The day is also called the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary or the Nativity of Mary. The Christian feast day is celebrated all across India. However, one of the most extravagant celebration takes place at the the Basilica of Mount Mary where a week-long fair known popularly as the Mount Mary or the Bandra Fair will take place. The feast fair begins today and will end on September. The fair will add on to already festive mood of Mumbai celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi 2019. The celebration is huge and whole of the city comes together to share the joy. Devotees visit the church, offer prayers and then be a part of the extravaganza. And there is good news for Mumbaikers- Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) will be deploying extra buses in Mumbai for Ganesh Chaturthi and Mount Mary Fair so that it becomes easier for people to travel within the city. The services will begin on today aka Sunday, September 8 to cater to the huge crowds.
