Makar Sankranti is here and desi people are enthusiastic to welcome the coming sunny days. Makar Sankranti is celebrated on January 14 every year in the west of India while the Southern state of Tamil Nadu celebrates Pongal and Punjab commemorates the festival of Lohri. Despite the difference in the names, one thing which is common across the nation is the songs related to the occasion. Ruth Aa Gayee Re (1947: Earth)
