Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter and posted a tweet remembering the great warrior. He said the great leader is an inspiration for people of the nation.

Chief Minister of Rajasthan and Congress leader Ashok Gehlot on Thursday paid rich tributes to the leader on Twitter. "My humble tributes to vir shiromani Maharana Pratap on his birth anniversary. He was an epitome of courage, bravery and strength. His sacrifice will always be remembered with reverence", Gehlot tweeted.

Maharana Pratap (1568-1597 C.E.), the great warrior, was a Hindu Rajput King of Mewar in Rajasthan. He belonged to the Sisodiya clan of Rajputs and is revered and worshipped by many royal families in Rajasthan for his bravery and courage.
