  • The Shukla Panchami will begin at 01:12 AM on October 19 and end at 12:31 AM on October 20

Maha Panchami Puja Vidhi

Maha Panchami is an auspicious day during the Durga Puja festival. On this day, performing the puja with proper rituals is important.

  • Devotees should wake up early in the morning, take a bath and then begin the puja rituals.
  • Begin the puja by offering prayers to Lord Ganesh to remove any obstacles. Also, light a ghee diya and incense sticks and offer flowers while reciting Ganesh mantras.
  • Worship a Kalash (pot) filled with water that has mango leaves and a coconut placed on top and chant the kalash sthapana mantra.
  • Invoke Goddess Durga, offer flowers and perform Aarti. Now, pay respects to the nine planetary deities (Navgraha) to seek their blessings.
  • Offer Panchamrit Abhishek to the goddess and also offer fruits, betel leaves, betel nuts, rice, and coconut to the goddess and seek the blessings of the Goddess.
  • Recite Durga Saptashati, Durga Chalisa, or any other prayers dedicated to Goddess Durga.
