Mumbai, Sept 23: The 11th day of Ganeshotsav 2018, marking the culmination of Maharashtra's most popular festival, will be observed today. The Lalbaugcha Raja, which is the most valued Ganesh idol in Maharashtra, will be immersed. The visarjan route, along with the traffic advisory, has been released by Mumbai Police. Apart from the traffic advisory for Lalbaugcha Raja visarjan at Girgaon Chowpatty, the Mumbai Police has also released the details of traffic diversions on roads leading to Juhu beach, Versova beach, Dadar beach, Sheetal talao and Powai lake.
The Lalbaugcha Raja immersion route will begin from Lalbaug, and pass through NM Joshi Marg to reach Byculla. It would then move towards Clare Road, Nagpada, Duncan Road and Do Taki -- where heavy police cover will be deployed to prevent any untoward incident. Subsequently, the route will turn towards Khambarwada, then moving to VP Road via CP Tank. The immersion will finally take place at Girgaon Chowpatty.
