Indira Ekadashi Vrat Puja Vidhi
Devotees observe a fast and perform puja rituals, such as taking a holy bath, cleaning the house, and offering garlands and sweets to Lord Vishnu.
- Devotees should wake up early in the morning, take a bath and wear clean clothes before starting the puja rituals.
- Clean the house, especially the puja room and then place an idol of Lord Vishnu.
- Offer fruits, flowers, garlands, Tulsi leaves and sweets to Lord Vishnu.
- On this day, devotees should prepare sattvik food (vegetarian food) and offer it to Brahmin, cows, crows, dogs and ants.

On the day of Indira Ekadashi, devotees worship Lord Vishnu with great devotion and observe a fast. They also offer prayers to their ancestors as this Ekadashi falls during Pitru Paksha. It is believed that devotees who observe fast on this sacred day, Lord Vishnu blesses their ancestors and grants them salvation. It is considered auspicious to perform acts of charity on Indira Ekadashi. Devotees can donate food and clothing to the needy. Observe a strict fast and make sure you do not pluck Tulsi Patra on the same day, as it is prohibited to pluck Tulsi on Ekadashi day.
