New Delhi, May 20: Believing Muslims across India and around the world are fasting from dawn to dusk, as mandated in the holy month of Ramadan ul-kareem, referred to as Ramzan in the subcontinent. Since Ramzan this year has begun at the onset of peak summer, the fast timings would be stretching with each passing day. Here is the iftar and sehri timings for Monday (May 21).
In Mumbai, sehri would end at 4:41 am on Monday. Post this, Muslims observing the fast would be barred from eating food or consuming water or any other form of liquid. The iftar timing would begin at 7:09 pm. From this time onwards, Muslims would be allowed to eat.
In Delhi, sehri timing would end at 3:57 am, whereas, the iftar would be observed at 7:09 pm. In Kolkata, the sehri would end at 3:30 am and the iftar would begin at 6:13 pm.
In Chennai, the sehri timing would end on Monday at 4:24 am, whereas, the iftar would be observed at 6:30 pm.

Ramzan in most parts of India began on May 17, barring parts of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and Assam. The states observed the fasts from May 18.
