In Tamil Nadu, Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated during Margashirsha Amavasya, while in Karnataka, the day is observed on Shukla Paksha Trayodashi during Margashirsha month. In Southern states, Hanuman Jayanti is also known Hanuman Vratam.
