According to Hindu rituals and traditions, the most auspicious or Shubh time to do Ghatasthapana is the first one-third of the day while Pratipada is prevailing. Ghatasthapana 2023 Timings

The Ghatasthapana Muhurat is fixed during Abhijit Muhurat and falls on Pratipada Tithi. The Pratipada Tithi begins at 11:24 PM on October 14, 2023, and ends at 12:32 AM on October 16, 2023.

Ghatasthapana Puja Vidhi

1. Devotees should wake up early in the morning and take a bath before starting the puja rituals. Now clean the puja area and place a Kalash on a clean and elevated platform.
2. Fill the Kalash with clean water and add a betel nut, a coin, some rice grains, and a few drops of Ganga Jal.
3. Now tie a red cloth around the neck of the Kalash and apply Chandan and Kumkum on the Kalash.
4. Now light a ghee diya and incense sticks.
5. Offer prayers to Goddess Durga and Chant the Ghatasthapana mantra while performing the puja
6. Perform aarti and seek blessings of the Goddess. You can also recite the Durga Chalisa, Durga Saptashati, or other relevant scriptures during the puja.
7. Offer fruits and sweets as prasad and distribute them among family members and guests.
