One of the most occasions within the Ganeshotsav festival is the Jyeshtha Gauri Avahana. It marks the arrival of Goddess Gauri who is worshipped for a day and the following day, Gauri and Ganpati visarjan takes place. Some people only get in Goddess Gauri, if they do not have a Ganpati lord installation at home.
