The celebration and vibe of Ganesh Visarjan are seen around the state of Maharashtra on the final day of Ganeshotsav, Anant Chaturdashi. All the Ganpati idols will be immersed today after 10-day celebration and worship of the Hindu Lord. Known as the cultural capital of the state of Maharashtra, the city of Pune too will see elaborate visarjan procession. In Pune, a specific path and order are followed during the immersion process. The 5 Manache Ganpati as they are called, start the entire procession. The Kasba Ganpati starts the visrajan process followed by the other four. The traffic in the city is diverted on this day. About 10 main routes in the city will be closed for Anant Chaturdashi. All the traffic will be diverted from the routes outside the central city premises. There will be a special police squad appointed to avoid any untoward incident during the visarjan procession. About 146 police inspectors will be assisted by 448 sub-inspectors, 350 home guards and about 7029 police personnel will be looking over the entire procession.
