The festive vibe has set in and with one of the most awaited festivals coming up, all revellers are excited. The festival of Ganeshotsav will be marked from September 2 to September 12. Devotees get in an idol of Lord Ganesha and worship them for a specific number of days. Along with household celebrations, there are also many places where the festival of Ganpati is held on a public platform. Among the public celebrations of Ganeshotsav, the Lalbaughcha Raja in Mumbai is very famous. And it is not just about the idol of the Lord, but also the decorations that are very pleasing. This year, India's second mission to the moon, the Chandrayaan 2 will make for a backdrop in this Ganpati pandal. Lalbaugcha Raja and Parel Cha Raja, both these Ganpati pandals will see a decoration theme of Chandrayaan 2! Lalbaugcha Raja 2019 First Look out! Chandrayaan 2 is one of the most prominent achievements of the country. And Ganpati decorations see a lot of themes, from social relevance issues to unique designs. But interestingly, the idea of India's lunar mission as a theme was thought even before the launch. Nitin Desai, the art director said he had thought of this celestial theme last year itself. Talking about the designing he told in a TOI report, "We have very little space to work with given that the pandal is located inside a busy market. But we have crafted the entire galaxy, spaceship and moving astronauts. Ganeshotsav begins September 2 and Chandrayaan will land September 7, so we have shown how Ganpati is already present to welcome the lunar module." He also added that it was ideal to show the raja (king) in this theme instead of making a royal darbar after the ravaged situation in the state due to floods. Lalbaugcha Raja 2019 Darshan: How to Reach The Famous Ganeshotsav Pandal of Mumbai By Train or Road This Ganesh Chaturthi.

Parel Cha Raja located at Nare Park will also have the moon-landing as their theme. In fact, their idol of Lord Ganesha is seen dancing on the moon. "We have a demonstration of Chandrayaan 2 to extol India's successful space launch,' said Milind Gawde, the spokesperson of this mandal. It is really a great idea of incorporating India's lunar mission with Ganpati celebrations.
