In an effort to bring French art and culture to the people of the city of Hyderabad, an aerial show called Celestial Carillon was held in the city at the People's Plaza. Along with the aerial performance, there was a combination of theatre, music and fine arts for the people to enjoy. The night saw a beautiful landscape in the sky of lights, sound and showmanship. A carillon is a music box with an automatic set of bells.
French artists, aerialists lifted an orchestra of 17 bell ringers at 55 meters skyward. All the ringers were dressed vibrantly and played the harmonised tunes. These aerial acts left the audiences in complete awe of what played out in front of them. Everyone admired the bravery of these performers and how incredibly they put up the show. It was no less than a witnessing a magical night of a concert.

The event was organised as part of Bonjour India festival 2017-18, by Alliance Francaise Hyderabad and Krishnakriti Foundation. It was along with the support of Telangana Government. Tourism Minister A. Chandu Lal, Tourism Secretary B. Venkatesham, along with Bonjour India had inaugurated this event. It was a spectacular event which saw the artists not just playing their instruments, some even blew kisses to the audiences below and there were rope tricks too, the one that we see only in circuses. The golden lights lit up the sky above and the music added to the festive mood and gave a closer glimpse into the French culture. It is no mean feat to perform effortlessly as you are swinging in the air.
