Prophet Muhammad is the founder of Islam, he is considered to be the last messenger of God according to Islam. Muhammad was born in the city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia in Quraysh tribe. His father's name was Abdullah and mother's name was Bibi Amina. He was orphaned at the age of six and was raised by his grandfather Abd al-Mutallib. Muhammad attained prophecy at the age of 40 and started preaching Islam to the world. He received revelations that formed the verses of Quran, the holy book of Islam, from God through the angel Gabriel. Prophet died at the age of 63.
