Notably, Eid al-Adha is among the major Islamic festivals. As part of the practice, Muslims who have the financial means are obligated to sacrifice a cattle and distribute its meat among their neighbours, poors and relatives.
During the month of Dhul Hijjah -- on the 10th date of which Bakra Eid is celebrated -- Muslims also undertake the Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca. The pilgrimage is obligatory for a financially able Muslim to undertake at least once in his lifetime.
