Mumbai, October 15: North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja Samiti, is one of the oldest and the biggest Durga puja association founded by Padmashri Sashadhar Mukherjee. Last year, it celebrated its 70th year. It is one of the most star-studded puja of Mumbai and the entire Mukherjee family, including Kajol, Rani Mukerji Tanisha Mukerji, Tanuja Mukerji, Raja Mukerji, Samrat Mukerji and others actively take part in the Puja preparations. Durga Puja 2018 Pandals In Mumbai: These 6 Famous Pandals in City Deserve a Visit This Pujo.

This year, the venue for the Puja has changed and it has shifted to Golden Tobacco Ground, Tobacco House, Ville Parle West. Over the last few years, it used to take place in Tulip Star Hotel.

The schedule for each of the days has been shared, some of the rituals include-Pushpanjali, bhog distribution, sandhi puja and entertainment at night.

On the day of Maha Panchami, the Murti Sthapana took place and Kajol, Ayan Mukherjee, Sumona Chakravarti and others were present at the venue.

According to reports, North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja Samiti is the only Durga puja samiti which performs the visarjan with the help of forklift and crane.
