Mumbai, Aug 30: People of Maharashtra have begun decorating pandals for the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi festival. Ahead of the 10-day festival,  huge idols of Lord Ganesh were transported to different pandals in Mumbai on Sunday. Ganesh Chaturthi is a 10-day Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva’s son, Lord Ganesha. With digitalisation making its mark in all fields, this year even the Ganapati idol has been digitised.

According to a report by APB Majha, a resident of Mumbai’s Ghatkopar area has shown his creativity by making a digital Ganesha. Idol-worshiper Nitin Chaudhary who resides in Sainath Nagar has made use of modern technology to make the best Ganesha idols, which have now turned a subject of attraction for many buyers.

Reports inform that Chaudhary tried to make the idol really attractive by using various techniques at the Pranjal Ganesh Kala Kendra. These idols have been made using different software and motors. The report informs that some of the idols that he made, can be operated remotely, giving it a real-life feel. Various software, motors, sensors have tried to make the idols look like real-life ones.

This year, Ganesh Chaturthi falls on September 13. People in several areas of Maharashtra have already begun their celebrations. It must be noted that this year, Ganpati mandals in Mumbai will have to sign an undertaking issued by the fire department if they want to go ahead with Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in the city.
