Cultural Music Festival Ragasthan Schedule: Three day Festival in Thar desert to Start From 23rd February

Three-day crazy music festival Ragasthan will commence from February 23-25, 2018. This is the third edition of the art, culture and music festival which takes places in the dunes of the Thar desert. This festival is an experience to enjoy, as everyone gets to camp and live the life of the desert alongside multiple genres of music adding to the magical aura. Besides, there are activities like paintball, sand-surfing and paintball.

This is the third edition of the festival after its debut in 2012. The second edition was held in 2014 and for the third edition, there will be an eclectic mix of musicians from around the world. Ensemble Quinetique, a band from Netherlands, Tetseo Sisters, Israeli musician BEMET, Canadian music group Delhi 2 Dublin, Dhruv Visvanath and Barmer Boys are some of the cross-cultural bands which will perform at the festival. There are four stages of music which go around simultaneously. The Morio stage features pop, rock and alternative genre, the Ammara stage has electronic and dub-step music, Olun stage features world fusion, folk and classical musicians. Alongside there is an open-mic stage for songwriters and artists.

The essence of the festival is to encourage emerging new talents, so you will hear new songs and not many of the known names. In these 3 days, you can see art, culture, music amalgamating with adventure in the desert setting. The outdoor activities also have competitions like turban tying, sky lanterns, kite-flying etc, which will give you a flavor of being in the traditional Rajasthani atmosphere. All of this while you rest in your tents and look above at a sky full of stars. What’s more interesting is you get to meet and greet new people, make friends with strangers as you listen to the bands playing. Along with bonfires, there are also open-air movie screenings so you can really bond over the choice of music and films. So, hurry up before they run out of tickets!
