Chaurchan Puja 2023 Date & Shubh Muhurat

Chaurchan Puja typically occurs in late August or early September, following the Hindu calendar. It is celebrated on the second day of the bright fortnight of the lunar month of Bhadrapada, which usually coincides with the waxing moon phase. The exact date may vary each year based on the lunar calendar.

The festival of Chaurchan is celebrated on Chaturthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Bhadrapada, and this year, Chaurchan puja is going to be observed on September 19, 2023. According to Sanatan Panchang, the Chaturthi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month will start at 12:39 pm on 18th September and end at 01:43 pm the next day, i.e. on 19th September. Moon God is worshipped in the evening on Chaurchan.

Chaurchan Puja Significance

Chaurchan Puja primarily marks the culmination of the monsoon season. She holds great significance for farmers who rely on these crops for their livelihoods, along with cutting moon dosha, also known as Chandra dosha.
