Bhai Phonta 2024 is on Sunday, November 3. The Dwitiya tithi begins at 08:21 PM on November 2 and ends at 10:05 PM on November 3. The Bhai Dooj Aparahna time starts at 01:30 PM and ends at 03:47 PM on November 3.

While giving Bhai Phonta, a mantra is recited by the sister, “Bhaier kopale dilam phonta, Jomer duare porlo kanta, Jamuna dyay jom ke phonta, Ami di amar bhai ke phonta.” The mantra is recited to seek blessings and pray for the immortality of the brother.
